Granules India profits up

Hyderabad, July 31 (UNI) Granules India, an integrated pharmaceutical company, earned a net profit of Rs 10.59 crore for the full year ended June 30 this year compared to Rs 9.25 crore the last year.

According to a company release, net sales rose by 5.82 per cent to Rs 185.69 crore as compared to Rs 175.47 crore during the same period last year.

In a statement, Granules India Managing Director Krishna Prasad said the company forged critical marketing alliances around the world and also spearheaded the installation of new facilities.

He said despite improved sales, the company had been able to decrease raw material costs mainly because of better supply chain management practices in conjunction with the rupee appreciation.
