Garment trader shot dead

Lucknow, July 31 (UNI) Police today recovered the body of a garment trader, who was shot dead in Kakori area of the Uttar Pradesh capital here.

Police said Anand Kumar Gupta alias Somi of Kakori was returning home on his motorcycle after closing his shop in Chowk, when he was waylaid by the miscreants and shot dead.

The deceased's family members have accused Zubair Ahmad for the murder.

They claimed that Anand had given money to Zubair for the purchase of a car, but the latter had backtracked on the delivery of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, a case had been registered against Zubair and his brothers Laiq and Kuraish Ahmad.

A manhunt had been launched to nab the accused.
