Four poll observers to oversee MC polls in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, July 31 (UNI) Officiating Deputy Commissioner-cum- District Electoral Officer Priyank Bharti, has informed that for smooth conduct of Municipal Election and to ensure the implementation of Model Code of Conduct during electioneering, State Election Commissioner has appointed four observers for Ludhiana MC elections, who would be staying in PSEB Rest House on Ferozepure road.

The observers are N.K. Wadhawan IAS, Labour Commissioner, G S Sidhu IAS Director Rural Development and Panchayats, Khushi Ram IAS, Special Secretary Food and Supplies and Mandeep Singh, IAS Director State Transport.

Mr Bharti directed all the ROs to make elaborate arrangements for smooth and impartial conduct of the polls in the city.

He informed that the election would be conduced through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and sufficient number of Machines have already been procured by the Administration.
