Father, sons surrender in double murder case

Baripada, Jul 31 (UNI) A father and his two sons, involved in a double murder, surrendered before the police.

Police today said Mrutyunjay Patra, and his two sons--Rakesh(22) and Gautam(18)--surrendered at the Rasgovindpur police station in Mayurbhanj district yesterday.

They confessed before the police their involvement in the 'Gadighati double murder case'.

The trio told the police that they killed their kin Ajay Patra and his son Chandan on July 24 last and had been absconding since then.

Ajay was the younger brother of Mrutyunjay Patra.Police said the murder was committed following land dispute. The accused were produced before SDJM, Baripada, Moonrani Mishra who remanded them in jail custody.
