Dutt family accepts verdict against Sanjay with a saddened heart

Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) The family of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has said that they have accepted the verdict sentencing him to six years imprisonment with a saddened heart.

A statement signed by Sanjay's sisters Congress MP Priya Dutt, Namrata Kumar, Kumar Gaurav and Owen Roncon said the family was disappointed and disturbed at the outcome of today's proceedings.

''But we accept it with a saddened heart,'' the statement added.

''We will explore our legal options at this point and proceed accordingly. The family would like to thank all wishers, members of the film fraternity, Sanjay's fans and supporters for supporting us during this trying time,'' the statement added.
