Dalbir Singh given a tearful adieu

Chandigarh , July 31 (UNI) Mortal remains of Punjabi Tribune Deputy Editor Dalbir Singh who died on July 28 were consigned to flames amidst the mourners from all walks of the life.

Deceased's son Mr Vikrant Virdi lit the pyre of the doyen of modern Punjabi journalism.

Earlier, Advisor to Chief Minister D S Cheema laid wreath on the behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal who was away to Sunam to preside over a state level function on 68th martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh.

Cooperation Minister Capt Kanwaljit Singh laid wreath on the body and expressed heart felt sympathies with the members of bereaved family.

Dr Megha Singh, Deputy Director Press, placed wreath on behalf of the Information and Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia.
