Court sends maoists to jail

Patna, July 31(UNI) Patna Chief Judicial Magistrate (in-charge) M K Rai today remanded three core maoists to judicial custody till August 12.

The maoists were sent to Beur model central jail.

The police had produced the three-- Madan Pal, Sarun Thakur and Munna Rai, a cook in the Patna Medical College Hospital before the court during the day.

Acting on a tip-off, the police had raided Munna Rai's and arrested the others from there yesterday.

As per the information received by the police, the trio were planning to trigger disruptive activities during Independence day celebrations in the state capital and other parts of the state and outside it.
