Bomb hoax at bus terminal

Kozhikode, July 31 (UNI) Panic gripped the city when an unidentified caller claimed that a bomb had been planted at the moffusil bus stand at the busy Mavoor Road here today.

Police said an anonymous caller informed the control room twice in the after noon that a bomb, planted at the crowded terminal, would explode around 1400 hrs.

However, the threat turned out to be a hoax as no explosive was found after a thorough screening of the locality by the sleuths assisted by sniffer dogs, they added.
