Blue Bird net sales at Rs 129.40 crore

Chennai, July 31 (UNI) Blue Bird India Limited (BBIL), a leading player in the Indian Print Industry, posted 7.36 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 8.31 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs 7.74 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The net sales grew by 1.45 per cent at Rs 129.41 crore compared to Rs 127.55 crore in the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 2006, a Company release here today said.

"We have embarked on developing exports business and has already carved a niche for itself in the African markets by printing school text books and other school stationary", the release added Company Managing Director Nitin Sontakke quoted as saying.

"We are also looking at increasing our market share through expansion of our manufacturing facility, better revenue mix and increase in range of our products, he added.
