Bhoruka Power acquires SLS Power

Chennai, July 31 (UNI) Bhoruka Power Corporation Limited (BPCL), part of the leading Bhoruka Group, today announced acquisition of SLS Power Industries for Rs 80 crore.

The Bangalore-based SLS Power Industries had two hydro stations at Cauvery and Tungabadhra bases with a total capacity of 12 MW, a company release here said.

With this acquisition, the BPCL augmented its presence in the clean power sector in India with a revenue target of Rs 200 crore by 2009.

Bhoruka Power had implemented 15 hydro stations and two wind power plants, the release added.
