BEL turnover dips in Q1

Bangalore, July 31 (UNI) Defence Electronics major Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) today reported a lower turnover of Rs 470 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal as against Rs 511.39 crore it earned during the same quarter in 2006-07.

According to a BEL release, the net profit had declined to Rs 26.30 crore in Quarter one of 2007-08 from Rs 60.27 crore during the first quarter of previous fiscal.
