BCs to stage dharna before parliament

Hyderabad, July 31 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Association will stage a dharna in front of the Parliament,demanding Union and State Governments to implement reservation for BCs in job promotions, on August 21.

Association President R Krishnaiah said in a release that employees, students and youth belonging to various BC communities would participate in the dharna.

Successive governments failed to provide reservation for BCs in government job promotions, he alleged.

Demanding that the governments implement the Nachiyappan Committee recommendations on job promotions to BCs, he said the Association would continue the protracted struggle to realise their demands.
