Bail of ex-MD of Thrifty Solutions denied

Vadodara, July 31 (UNI) Vadodara fast track court today rejected bail plea of Sureshchandra Somabhai Patel, former managing director of 'Thrifty Solutions', who was arrested for allegedly manufacturing and trading banned psychotropic substances.

Patel was caught by the State Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on January 26 this year for manufacturing and trading psychotropic drugs like Diazapam and Alfazolam.

The NCB had busted the racket in December last year when it came to light that Thrifty Solutions was suppling the two drugs to its customers abroad through internet trading.

The drugs were being despatched through courier to addresses in Canada and the US.
