Aurobindo Q1 net up 62% to Rs 58.54 cr

New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) Aurobindo Pharma Ltd today said its net profit has increased by 62 per cent to Rs 58.54 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 36.21 crore for the same period a year ago.

Total income also shot up by 22 per cent to Rs 512.91 crore for Q1 FY07-08 against Rs 420.17 crore during the same quarter last fiscal.

The Group's consolidated net profit stood at Rs 61.73 crore for the first quarter this fiscal and the total income is at Rs 565.87 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.
