Accountant sentenced to 5-year RI
New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) A special CBI court today sentenced an accountant to five-year rigorous imprisonment on charges of graft.
Special CBI judge Vinod Goel also imposed a fine of Rs 55,000 on Surinder Singh who issued cheques to fictitious people, meant for widows of 1984 riot victims.
He had issued the cheques for Rs 20,000 in 1989.
Four other people were also arrested in the case.
