2 teenagers drowned in Ganga

Varanasi, July 31 (UNI) Two teenagers drowned while taking bath in the Ganga river here today.

Purnea Shastri (16) hailing from Vishakhapatnam and Naresh Rao (17), a native of Jharkhand, drowned while bathing in a sacred river near Katesar village, police said.

Both bodies were later fished out by divers and sent for postmortem.

Both the teenagers were part of a tourist group visiting the temple city, police added.
