Two drugged, looted of Rs 4.5 lakh on Aravali Exp
Anand, July 30 (UNI) Two passangers travelling by the Aravali Express were drugged and looted of Rs 4.5 lakh.
The incident came to light after the two victims --- livestock dealers Ghulam Rasol Kalumia Multani and Babubhai Vanzara of Modassa in North Gujarat -- were found unconscious by the Anand Railway Protection Force (RPF) at 2200 hrs yesterday. The duo were admitted to Anand civil hospital, police said here today.
On regaining consciousness this afternoon, they told police they were returning from Mumbai after collecting cash by selling goats there when they were offered biscuits laced with sedatives by an unknown person who boraded the train at Borivali station.
The victims regained consciousness today to find two bags -- one containing Rs one lakh and the other Rs 3.5 lakh stolen, police added.
