TDP demands probe by sitting HC Judged
Hyderabad, July 30 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today demanded that the state government order a judicial probe by a sitting High Court Judge into Mudigonda police firing, in which six Left workers were killed and more than ten injured on July 28.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Naidu said only a probe by a sitting Judge would disclose the 'facts' behind police firing on the Left activists and the government's conspiracy in the firing.
Demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy for failing to discharge his duties during police firing, he said the TDP, along with the Left parties, would also fight against the government on land issue.
Mr Naidu also demanded that the government distribute all assigned lands, encroached by the rich, to the poor.
