Senior journalist dead

Faizabad, July 30 (UNI) Senior journalist V P Singh Dev died today after a prolonged illness.

He was 60. He is survived by a daughter.

According to family sources, Dev was undergoing treatment for cancer at a private hospital of Lucknow. He succumbed to his illness this morning.

He was associated with the Press trust of India (PTI) and the Hindustan, a Hindi daily newspaper.

Dev hailed from Narhar Patti of Ambedkar Nagar district.

Political parties and journalists fraternity condoled the death of the veteran journalist.
