Mumbai, July 30: The fate of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt and his three friends will be decided tomorrow when the designated TADA court delivers the last verdict in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.

On July 27, while sentencing four family members of prime absconding accused Tiger Memon, the court had said the verdict in Dutt's case would be delivered on July 31.

Special TADA court judge P D Kode will pronounce the quantum of punishment for the 48-year-old actor and his three friends -- Yusuf Nalwalla, Karsi Adjania and Russi Mulla. Dutt and the others had earlier been convicted under the Arms Act but the quantum of sentence was to be pronounced. The Act entails a maximum punishment of 10 years.

Soon after his conviction, the film star had moved an application before the court, seeking relief under the Probation of Offenders Act. The State Government has already submitted its report in this regard, and now the court's response is awaited.

The court has already handed down punishment to 96 of the 100 convicted in the blast case. Of these, 12 have been given death sentences, while another 20 have been given life terms. The rest have been handed down punishment ranging from three years to 14 years.

In view of the last verdict tomorrow, the police has made heavy security bandobast outside the court. According to sources, the lane leading to the court will be closed for motorists and pedestrians during the case proceddings.
