Register FIR against Bali, says BJP
Shimla, July 30 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh unit of the BJP today demanded the registration of FIR against former state transport and tourism minister G S Bali for his presence in an ''indecent party'' in a hotel at Dharamshala town a few days ago.
''He has brought disgrace to the people of the state by participating in parties wherein call girls are brought from Delhi to entertain his rich guests,'' party general secretary Khushi Ram Balnatah said in a release here.
He said the minister had been engaging in such activities since long and the Mumbai Musical Blast held at Kangra town a few years ago where bar dancers were brought from outside was a case in point.
Despite raising the issue time and again in and outside the Assembly, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has not taken any action against him, he added.
Mr Balnatah said the exact amount collected in that musical event was not yet known though it was organised in the name of Chief Minister Relief Fund.
According to the conduct rules of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Mr Bali was liable to be disqualified from its membership after the incident, he said.
Besides this, he said the release of an audio CD of the Chief Minister and his MP wife by former Congress leader Vijai Singh Mankotia would prove to be the final nail in the state Congress Government.
The BJP leader said following these two incidents, the state Congress Government had lost the moral authority to rule and, therefore, should quit and pave the way for an impartial inquiry into the incidents.
