Provide equal treatment in promotional avenues: Lecturers

Puducherry, July 30 (UNI) The directly recruited lecturers of the government higher secondary schools here today demanded equal treatment in promotional avenues particularly, while filling up the posts of school vice-principals.

Talking to newspersons here, association secretary K Ramu charged the government with showing favouritism to the lecturers, who were promoted from the rank of secondary grade teachers, while sidelinig the directly recruited lecturers.

The government should sanction assured career progression scheme to all teachers, he said.
