Oppn to move adjournment motion on law and order
Bhopal, July 30 (UNI) The main opposition Congress has sought to move an adjournment motion in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly on the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
During zero hour, leader of the opposition Jamuna Devi sought to know about the fate of the adjournment notice and urged Speaker Ishwardas Rohani to take it up.
Mr Rohani assured to allow discussion, if necessary, on it and asked Ms Devi to meet him in his chamber.
Ms Jamuna Devi alleged that law and order situation in the state had deteriorated. In this context, she pointed out the murder of Congress leader Narendra Shrivastava in Damoh district few hours after he lodged a complaint with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during a 'Jandarshan' programme regarding the corrupt practices of the local BJP leaders in connivance with a Police Station incharge.
Legislative Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra has taken objection to Ms Devi giving details of law and order incidents.
