Hyderabad, July 30 (UNI) In an effort to bring the 'land issue' to the notice of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, scheduled to participate in a meeting in the city tomorrow, the Opposition Left parties and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will organise processions and hunger strikes in the city.

Talking to newspersons here, CPI(M) State Assistant Secretary Y Venkateswarlu said the Left parties would organise the procession, demanding that the Government order a judicial probe into the Mudigonda police firing with a sitting judge, file murder cases against the police officials involved in the firing and solve the land issue rocking the State since three months.

He said nine Left parties, including the CPI (ML) Liberation and New Democracy, would participate in the procession from old MLA quarters to Jubilee Hall, the venue of the Prime Minister function.

Meanwhile, TDP President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would participate in a token hunger strike at Indira park, demanding that the Prime Minister visit Mudigonda, where six people were killed in police firing on July 28.
