Mock drill at IGI Airport to check preparedness
New Delhi, July 30 (UNI) The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) today conducted a mock drill to check preparedness of all agencies associated with the IGI Airport here.
A spokesperson said BCAS officials were satisfied with the results.
At about 1030 hrs, the air traffic control gave a call that a plane of East Air with 155 passengers on board has been hijacked.
Commandos, police, ambulances, fire fighters, and others associated with airport operations were alerted. The exercise lasted an hour.
