Man murdered for cheating unemployed youth

Akola, July 30 (UNI) One person was murdered and another seriously injured at the Dabki Road locality here late last evening. Police have arrested five persons in this connection.

The deceased has been identified as Vinod Kashiram (30) while the injured person, Vijay Gawande, has been admitted to the district hospital.

Police said the duo, three years back, had taken a total amount of Rs 1.5 lakh from two unemployed youth -- Nilesh Parnate and Ajay Devkate -- on the promise of providing them employment as class IV employees in schools.

But, neither did they provide employment to Nilesh and Ajay nor did they return their money despite repeated reminders. In a fit of rage, the unemployed duo, along with their friends, attacked Kashiram and Gawande in which which the former was killed on the spot while the latter was severely injured, police said.
