Mumbai, July 30 (UNI) Air India Chairman and Managing Director Mr V Thulasidas today said the legal formalities regarding merger of the domestic carrier 'Indian' with the national carrier 'Air India' would be completed by tomorrow.

This was indicated to reporters by Mr Thulasidas after he attended the ceremony of arrival of the B777-200 LR aircraft here.

Earlier, addressing a gathering of the employees of the Air India and Indian, Mr Thulasidas said the merger would augur well for the employees. ''No employee of either airlines will have any condition of service, which which makes them inferior to any one'', he said.

The results of the merger would be felt in times to come as rather than competing with each other, the single entity will be taking on the other international airlines, Mr Thulasidas said.

''India was the exception which had two different airlines for domestic and international sectors as every country is served by one national carrier. I assure you, that once our new product (combined entity) is accepted by the market, it is going to prove the real strength of Air India,'' he said.

''What we are offering to the air passengers, cannot be offered by any other airline in the country,'' Thulasidas added.
