KLE society to conduct open-heart surgery for poor
Belgaum, Jul 30 (UNI) The Karnataka Lingayat Eduction Society, one of the prestigious institutions in Northern Karnataka will conduct an 'Open Heart Surgery Camp' for poor on August one, its Chairman Mr Shivanand Koujalagi informed here today.
Addressing newsmen Mr Koujalagi said that the governing council of the society had taken a decision to conduct open heart surgery camp for the benefit of poor on August one to mark the birth day of Mr Prabhakar Kore, society's past president.
He said that the KLE society has also decided to constitute a scheme 'Annapurneshwari' to accept donations to support the programme. It was also resolved to rename KLE Hospital in Belgaum as Prabhakar Kore Hospital and Medical Research Centre, in recognition to Mr Kore's contribution in building the society, he added.
