India Cements Q1 net at 183.40 crore

New Delhi, July 30: India Cements Ltd today said it has clocked a net profit of Rs 183.40 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 while the same stood at Rs 112.59 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The company's income increased to Rs 710.91 crore in the Q1FY07 from Rs 490.66 crore in Q1FY06.

The figures are not comparable with those of the previous period as the business of Visaka Cement Industry Ltd was amalgamated with India Cements Ltd, said a statement.
