Forged documents' racket busted, 2 arrested

Sultanpur, July 30 (UNI) Police today busted a racket involved in making forged marksheets and certificates here and arrested two people in this regard.

A large quantity of forged documents, pen drive and other equipment were recovered from their possession, police superintendent Ajay Kumar Mishra said.

On a tip-off, a special operation group (SOG) team raided a shop and arrested Arvind Kumar Singh and Santosh Kumar Gupta.

They confessed that they worked in tandem with the managers of some colleges and schools and sold forged marksheets and certificates of Awadh University and Poorvanchal University for Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000.

A manhunt had also been launched to nab other members of the gang.

Later, Mr Mishra also announced to reward the police team.
