Five burnt alive in Kalna Mela ground

Durgapur, July 30 (UNI) Five people were burnt alive and 17 injured when crackers stored in a room exploded and set a Mela ground on fire in Singhagarh village of Kalna in Burdwan district this morning.

Eight people are in critical condition, Kalna Sub-Divisionsl hospital authorities have said.

The incident occurred during the ongoing Japan festival.
