AP: CPI, CPM activists conduct protest rally

Tirupati, July 29: Activists of CPI and CPM today conducted a ralley, protesting against killing of six of its party workers in police firing at Khammam yesterday.

The activists led by Chittoor district CPI Secretary Harinatha Reddy and CPM Secretary K Murali took out a ralley from Municipal Corporation to Gandhi statue near RTC bus stand where the ralley was culminated. They raised slogans aganist Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhar Reddy, who had failed to keep his poll promise of granting land to the land less poor people.

Alleging that the Congress government was trying to suppress the movement, they said the agitation would be intensified further.
