Core and IBM tieup to provide education solution
New Delhi, July 30 (UNI) With an aim to help central and state governments understand the return and the impact of investment done under the Sarv Siksha project, Core Projects&Technologies Ltd and IBM today said they will provide IT solutions for the education sector.
In this context, Core Projects and technologies Ltd will work together to innovate and provide IT solutions in multiple areas of education and government space, including sarv Shiksha project.
Core has already developed a total solution for the government of Jharkhand which enables it to track funds allocated by the central government for various aspects of the program. It also allows the state government to administer the individual progress and performance of students and teachers.
''We are in negotiations with various states for providing this solution. The present system that Core has made available to Jharkhand govenment is not on an IBM platform but the one coming up in the other states will be on the IBM platform,'' said IBM Country Manager (Government and Eductaion) Satish Kaushal.
Mr Kaushal added that these states were looking at replicating the success story of Jharkhand and said that the finances for the project will come from component of Sarv Siksha project, which earmarks one per cent of the total allocation towards IT solutions.
Mr Kaushal, however, declined to give any specifics on the revenue sharing mechanism between the company and Core, and said that it will be on a project to project basis.
''We will be soon making a presentation to the Ministry of Human Resource and Development on the IT solution availability,'' Core Chief Executive Officer Prakash Gupta told reporters.
