Cholamandalam DBS registers revenue growth of 176 %

Chennai, July 30 (UNI) Cholamandalam DBS Finance Limited has registered a revenue growth of 176 per cent during the first quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The revenue stood at Rs 168 crore during the quarter as against Rs 61 crore during the same period in the previous fiscal, a company release here said today.

The company also posted a growth of 132 per cent in total disbursements during the period of April to June 2007 over the corresponding period of the previous year.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) was up by 139 per cent at Rs 13.20 crore as compared to Rs 5.52 crore during the same period in 2006.

Profit After Tax (PAT) was also up by 137 per cent at Rs 8.36 crore as compared to Rs 3.53 crore during the same period in the year 2006.

The growth in profits was after accounting for all expenses of the new business of personal loans and home equity loans, the release added.
