Burglary at BJP MLA's house

Akola, July 30 (UNI) Unknown thieves have allegedly decamped with valuables and cash from the residence of a BJP MLA (Balapur), Narayanrao Gawhankar in Vijay housing colony along the Gorkshan road here.

Mr Gawhankar was away in Mumbai for the Assembly session and his family members had gone out, when the miscreants struck day-before-yesterday, police said and explained that the theft was discovered after the return of his family members last night.

A dog-squad had been called from Amravati to aid investigations.

However, no arrests has been made so far, police added.
