BJP demands CM Rajsekara Reddy's resignation
New Delhi, July 30 (UNI) The BJP today condemned the saturday police firing in Khamam district in Andhra Pradesh in which eight people were killed and another eight injured and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Y S Rajsekhara Reddy on 'moral ground'.
BJP General Secretary and spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad also demanded immediate action against the culprits.
Mr Prasad said the demonstrations by CPI(M) in Khamam had, however, exposed the double face of the CPM. This was the same party which was responsible for the violence in Singur and Nandigram. The CPM has exposed its anti-farmer and anti-poor policies.
Meanwhile, the party also condemned the terrorist attack on a tourist bus in Srinagar yesterday, killing several people, including women and children.
Party General Secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad, in a statement, said it was the fourth terorist attack in one month--twice on Amarnath pilgrims, the attack on National Conference President Omar Abdullah and now on the tourists.
He said in this scenario Prime Minister should pay more attention to the national security rather than Congress relationship with the PDP.
He demanded the process of troop reduction in Kashmir be immediately stopped and the deployment of the army in all sensitive places reinforced.
