Bank burgled of Rs 7 lakh

Lucknow, July 30 (UNI) Burglars broke into an Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) branch and decamped with over Rs 7 lakh in cash in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.

The burglary took place around midnight at the IOB branch, situated at Barari village in Refinery area.

The miscreants broke open the window and deactivated the alarm wire, before fleeing with Rs 7.28 lakh in cash, police today said.

A case has been registered and an investigation is on.
