Andhra Bank earns Rs 141 cr in Q1

Hyderabad, July 30 (UNI) The Andhra Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 141 crore, registering a growth of 21.20 per cent for the quarter ended June 2007.

The operating profit went up by 18.20 per cent at Rs 223 crore and the total business recorded an increase of 24.28 per cent at Rs 68,466 crore, according to a release here today.

The loans and advances stood at Rs 27,707 crore and the total deposits of the bank had increased to Rs 40,759 crore from Rs 33,058 crore with a growth rate of 23.30 per cent.
