Airtel launches 'missed call alert' service
Chennai, July 30 (UNI) Leading mobile service provider Airtel today launched 'missed call alert plus', a unique service that ensures Airtel customers will not miss the important calls.
The new service will notify the number of missed calls and also display the name of caller if the number was stored in the address book, a company release said here.
It will also notify the subscribers through SMS about all the calls made to them when their mobile phone was switched off or out of the coverage area.
This service will work when the customer was not available to take calls.
As soon as the mobile phone was available to take calls the customer will receive SMS from Airtel, which will contain details of the last ten missed calls.
To subscribe to this service, the Airtel customers had to type "MAC" and send an SMS to 567.
All the handsets support this facility and were also available in national and international roaming locations at a monthly rental of Rs 15, the release added.
