AIADMK leader hits out at PMK MP
Puducherry, July 30 (UNI) AIADMK State Secretary A Anbazhagan, MLA, today offered to resign his post if PMK Parliamentary Party Leader Ramadass could prove that all the seven private medical colleges here were still affiliated to the Pondicherry Central University.
Addressing the press here, Mr Anbazhagan wondered whether Prof Ramadass would follow suit if he failed in the issue.
Lambasting Prof Ramadass for criticising him, Mr Anbazhagan said Chief Minister N Rangasamy himself had announced on the floor of the House that four of the seven private medical colleges had obtained deemed university status.
Prof Ramadass, who should work according to the directives of Party Founder-Leader S Ramadoss, had became the "mouthpiece for AICC General Secretary V Narayansami,"who worked for deemed universities and was anti-student," he charged.
At the time of registration, the colleges were affiliated to the Pondicherry University. But later, with the help of Union Human Resource Development and Health and Family Welfare Ministries, four of them were converted into deemed universities.
Because of this, the Puducherry administration could not obtain 50 per cent seats for it in the colleges.
When Dr Ramadoss was striving for the welfare of student community in Tamil Nadu, Prof Ramadass was functioning as per the directions of some others, he alleged.
