3 youths drown in ditch

Kolhapur, July 30 (UNI) Three youths from Aurangabad district drowned in a ditch near the city's famous tourist point, Rankala lake, here today.

The deceased have been identified as Yogesh Sonyabapu Dange (19) from Kannad, Appasaheb Baburao Rahane (24) of Aadane village and Schidanand Murlidhar Danke (24) of Bhairgaon village, police and fire-brigade sources said.

The three had arrived here early morning for treatment at a ''Swayambhu Yoga and Nature Cure Centre'' located at the city's Saneguruji suburb run by Dr Shashi Patil, the sources said.

After 'yogdharna', they went for a bath this morning at the famed deep water ditch, where the three drowned, the sources said, adding the dead bodies were fished out later.
