Srinagar-Jammu national highway closed for one hour
Srinagar, July 29 (UNI) The 300-km Srinagar-Jammu national highway was closed for vehicular traffic for almost one hour today due to landslides triggered by heavy rains last night.
The national highway 1A, the only surface link between the Kashmir valley and the rest of the country, was closed near Ramban early this morning due to landslides triggered by heavy rains.
The region witnessed heavy rains throughout the previous night.
Traffic officials told UNI that Border Roads Organisation (BRO) men cleared the highway after one hour.
