Rs 10 crore heroin recovered from father-son in Punjab
Ludhiana, July 29 (UNI) The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 10 kg heroin worth Rs 10 crore in the international market from a father and son on Ludhiana-Jagraon road last night, DRI sources today claimed.
A DRI team intercepted a jeep about 10 kms from the city and on checking the vehicle found the contraband. The two occupants of the vehicle-Tara Singh and his son Mangal Singh were taken into custody and later arrested under the NDPS Act.
The two are residents of Asal Uttar, a border village in Tarn Taran district. The drug was smuggled from Pakistan and was to be taken to New Delhi.
