Police firing: Oppn demands inquiry by HC judge
Hyderabad, July 29 (UNI) An all-party meeting, convened by the Opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh, demanded the government to appoint a sitting judge of the High Court to inquire into the police firing at Mudigonda in Khammam district yesterday, which left six people killed.
However, the meeting was not attended by the ruling Congress.
The meeting demanded an ex gratia payment of Rs 10 lakh and a government job to each of the victim families.
TDP Deputy Leader of the House T Devender Goud, TRS leader Nayani Narasimha Reddy, CPI(M) State Secretary B V Raghavulu and CPI State Secretary K Narayana were among others who participated in the meeting.
