One tourist killed, 20 hurt in bus explosion in Kashmir

Srinagar, July 29 (UNI) At least one tourist was killed and about 20 wounded when a compressor of an air-conditioned bus from Gujarat exploded near the famed Mughal Gardens at Shalimar on the city outskirts today, police said.

They said the compressor of the air-conditioned bus with registration number GJ23T-9977, exploded near the Shalimar Mughal Gardens, about 15 km from here, this afternoon.

Police said at least one tourist was killed and about 20 wounded in the explosion. The injured have been rushed to various hospitals in the city, they added.

Police have ruled out militant involvement in the explosion.
