Muslim's beard, cap not products of Al Qaeda factory: Naqvi
New Delhi, July 29 (UNI) BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said linking every Muslim with terrorism strengthened the organisations such as Al Qaeda, and called upon the Muslims to wage a 'jihad' against forces trying to spread terror and divide society.
''Every Muslim's beard and cap is not the product of the Al Qaeda factory,'' Mr Naqvi said, addressing the National Executive of the BJP Minority Morcha here.
''The tendency of some western countries to link every Muslim with terrorism strengthened the forces such as Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda,'' he said.
He, however, asserted that Pakistan-sponsored terrorism had spread faster in India over the past three years, and urged the Government to take stringent steps to counter it.
''Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's message of peace is simply not enough to fight terrorists,'' he remarked.
The BJP leader said the Lal Masjid incident was a live example of existence of terror factories in Pakistan.
''Now is the time for Muslims of the world, especially from India, to wage a jihad against forces spreading terror and dividing society,'' he said.
