Haryana Govt increases money for Backward and SC classes
Chandigarh, July 29 (UNI) The Haryana Government has increased the contribution of share capital of Haryana Backward Classes Nigam to Rs 1.50 crore during the current financial year, as against Rs 50 lakh during 2004-05.
While giving this information, a spokesman of Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation said the Corporation would also be provided a sum of Rs 3.54 crore during the current year to meet its administrative expenses, which were not being earlier provided.
He further said that similarly the administrative subsidy of Haryana Backward Classes Nigam had also been enhanced to Rs 1.10 crore during the current year from Rs 40 lakh. He said the contribution of share capital of Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation had been enhanced to Rs 1.65 crore instead of Rs 25 lakh.
The spokesman said incentives for inter-caste marriages had been enhanced to Rs 50,000 from Rs 25,000, per couple, provided either the bride or the bridegroom belongs to a Scheduled Caste family.
Under the scheme, a budget provision of Rs 20 lakh had been made during the current financial year.
