Chouhan donates sewing machines to 20 girls
Bhopal, July 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has donated sewing machines to 20 girls belonging to labourer families in Batiagarh village in Damoh district.
The girls had already undergone a six-month training in stitching.
Mr Chouhan, who started his Jandarshan from Batiagarh village yesterday, spoke to the girls about their training besides other matters.
CED-MAP is providing on-hand training and machines or toolkits to 1,007 boys and girls between 14-17 years of age engaged in hazardous works to help them start self-employment under the Indus Balshram project in the district, an official release here said.
So far, 969 boys and girls had been trained and 406 of them provided help for self-employment.
Minister in-charge of the district Gopal Bhargava, Urban Development and Administration Minister Jayant Malaiya, Minister of State for PHE and Rural Development Gangaram Patel, Damoh-Panna MP Chandrabhan Singh, Khajuraho MP Ramkrishn Kusmaria, MLAs Sonabai, Dashrath Singh Lothi, Kapoor Chand Ghuwara and other local leaders were present, the release added.
