Wayanad, Kerala, July 29 (UNI) Protesting against the Centre's ''neglect'' of Kerala's demand for monsoon disaster aid, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said he will not hesitate to sit in before Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence if the State's genuine demands are ignored.

''Though Kerala has demanded a huge relief for the flood-hit regions in the State, the Centre has not responded and if this continues, I will resort to a sit-in before the Prime Minister's residence along with other Members of Parliament,'' he said after visiting flood-hit Wayanad district.

The Chief Minister said the Centre had been neglecting the State's demands, including the plea for sufficient assistance to meet the devastation caused by torrential rains. The Central teams had made some assessment, but nothing had come forth, he added. UNI
