Undertrial woman, lover set themselves on fire

Ludhiana, July 28 (UNI) A 30-year old undertrial woman and her 25-year old lover allegedly committed suicide after setting themselves on fire at their rented accomodation in Jagraon town today, police here said.

According to the police, Roshi who was on bail in a murder case and her lover Manpreet poured kerosene on each other and then set themselves on fire. Their bodies were found by the police after being informed of the incident by the public.

After being released on bail from the central jail here, Roshi and Manpreet began staying together in the rented accomodation. The woman came in contact with Manpreet through his mother who too was being held in the central jail on murder charges.

Roshi, a resident of Nakodar in Jalandhar was behind bars for her involvement in the murder of her mother-in-law some years back.
